Hey guys! I just purchased another .44 mag. L.B. told me about it. I'm trying to help L.B. so he can save his money to purchase a rare DW. I was thinking about this poor DW all by itself in a strange gun store. I knew it needed to be with its own kind. So I took her home. Its in really great shape. I doubt more than a box of ctg. have been shot in it. I bought it because my .44 mag doesn't have the heavy shroud, this one does and it is ported too. And I love that Zebra grip, plus its in excellent shape with really nice bluing. The price out the door was $385.00. L.B. doesn't have to worry about that poor DW in the window now. He can focus on one of his grail pistols. It is a terrible temptation to buy or not to buy you know. big-grin  Don't hate L.B.!  LOL.   proud-to-be-an-american  Here she is:

You stole that gun for $385 out the door, especially with the VH8 and zebra grips!

Thanks Gary! I have really been sweating over leaving her behind, but I knew you would come through and relieve me of the guilt of leaving her or the expense of going back for her.

big-grin

She is a looker. congratulations!

A real shiny beauty there, and I love that grip. I am over my spending limit on guns this year, but I still wouldnt have passed up that one at that price.

This is my other DW .44 Mag. in a case. It has the 8" an 6" ported shroud. It has 2- 8" barrels ones ported and the other not. It has 2- 6" barrels one ported and the other not. With my new .44 mag I now have the heavy shroud ported and an extra 8 in. barrel non ported. Both are Monson. This is the original case for a DW but I don't think its the original Hunters Pack with the 6-8 inch barrel. They are fun to shoot though. smile

I agree, the Hunter Pac foam would be cut out for a scope. What you have looks correct for the (2nd generation?) 44 Pistol Pac case. I call it the "Tourister" style case, because I am fairly certain those were made by American Tourister.

Congrats on your newest arrival, you did great!drool gtdw occasion
