To quote Supermagfan:
"Very Sweeet gun there! Now for the range report on the FB ……..
drumroll………."
Soon...very soon. Actually, I plan to shoot it this Friday at our silhouette practice day.
As far as my cleanup process goes, I start by cleaning the barrel and cylinder to get all the old shooting residue out. You would be surprised how dirty some guns are that you get from the auction sites, or from other owners as well. This one wasn't too bad...don't think it has been shot much. There was a lot of leather shreds all over the gun (it came in a holster). After brushing all that away, then the grip was removed.
Most guns come with some oil or grease on the outside. I use Gunscrubber to completely remove all the oil. Then I get out the Flitz and start polishing the entire gun with it. Usually, the Flitz rag looks like a rust-bucket when I am through. Even though you can't see it, there is a fine surface rust all over the guns. I do the area hidden by the grip ( I also remove the stocks from rifles for this). The guns look pretty nice after the Flitz treatment. You can also use Mothers products, they work very well. I usually don't wax my guns, but wipe them down after use with a silicon cloth.

Don't know about better, since I've never tried the liquid, but while using the paste, I never wondered "Why don't they make this a liquid?"
And so far, I've only used the liquid.
Although, I mainly use Flitz on my stainless stuff (it's a wonder on stainless), my blued guns get Mother's wax.
