I went to a Gun Show the other day. I was looking for a particular pistol, but I came across this one. I couldn't resist buying it. I bought it for a reasonable price and the seller gave me 100 rounds of brass to go with it. It's made by the Palmer Company. Of course it would be nice if it were a Monson. However it is in excellent condition and tight as a banjo. The DW 445 Super Mag. All I need now is some ammo for it. I ordered a compensator wrench from EWK for it. Here are a few pics.

Nice looking gun and don't have any reservations about it being a "Palmer" gun. Most of the stigma attached to Palmer guns is an unwarranted myth. I've had and still have quite a few Palmer guns and they're perfect. I've also had some Monson guns come through and the quality sucked with problems ranging from porosity in the frame casting to overall substandard finish. Look at each one individually for its fit and finish to determine its value to you based on the condition of the gun, not based on the "reputation" it has been given.

I appreciate this information. It doesn't appear to be a Monday or Friday gun. It's really nice.

I'm going to jump in here too, and say that I have no personal experience with a Palmer, but I've seen no definitive evidence from people I trust (ie-DWF Members) that Monson is better than Palmer. Lot's of pretty smart people here own both, and no one here see's a real difference.
Monson -vs- Palmer needs to end, and you got a beautiful looking gun.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'm with Harly & Steve, I have yet to personally see a bad example of a Palmer gun. I'll bet that with enough scrutiny, many bad examples could be found from EACH plant…it's just that the Palmer plan seems to have been saddled with the "bad DW" stigma, for whatever reason.
And the media took it & ran with it.
I've got two Palmer guns so far & honestly, both are perfect in every way. The (ancestral) bluing is so amazingly flawless on my blued model 15 Fixed Barrel, that I've only fired about 20 rounds thus far…I'm skeerd to mess up a good thing! Yep, I'm one big chicken! Pics really do no justice, either.

CF- I think I saw my reflection, way over here!
I have to agree w/ the fellas; Makes no difference as long as the individual specimin checks out. Heck, I had a bad shotgun once from a well respected company. Doesn't matter, some just slip through QA/QC.
Enjoy shooting it!
