Last Sunday went to a gun show in Pine City MN., and found a DW 445 Super Mag, 8"VH. Monson Manufacture. Serial # 445B00148x. The original owner said he purchased it in the summer of 1989. He had the original box, paper work, feeler gauge and tool, all in very good condition. It also came with a Hogue Monogrip, 50 new Starline brass, 50, 30-40 Krag brass, 100 pieces of brass with the head stamp, .445 Gates. Redding carbide dies, and a Redding taper crimp die. He also had a copy of, THE SILHOUETTE, Dated May 1988. The paper is the issue in which Bill Bartram first reviewed the DW .445 Super Mag. I spent some money.

The cylinder is fluted on this gun. I just got done shooting it for the first time. The trigger on this thing is really great. Didn't shoot for accuracy as I don't know what the loads were ( I got a few loaded rounds in the deal.) They were with the 30-40 loads and were wasp waisted, so I am assuming that they were fire-form loads.

I am not up on Supermag values, but I am pretty sure that was a very good deal on everything you got, and it looks like a beautifully maintained pistol too.

I've gotta agree with that, I'd say you made out pretty darn good in that deal.
Thanks for showing it off!

Hey Curt,
Good score I guess I should be checking out more of the local gun shows, we met last year at the March Show at the Fairgrounds, we were both looking at that altered .357Max. I will be out of town for that one, so you will have first shot at the Dan Wesson's.

I was going to PM you and try to get together at the Coliseum in a couple of weeks. To bad you won't make it. The Pine Tech, Gun-smithing class puts on a pretty good show in Feb every year. I didn't get there until Sunday late, so maybe that is why I did as well as I did on the Dan.
