Took my new Palmer 445 VH8C to the range. I didn't do anything to it other than check the B/C gap was correct. I shot some 44 mag target loads to make sure it functioned correctly and then ran some 445 SM 30gn 2400 under 240gn XTPs. I was pleasantly surprized that it was dead on at 25yd. POI was just about the same a POA. I also like the compensated BA very much. This gun is way lighter on recoil than my Norwich 7445 6VH, but man is it LOUD! Had to laugh at the group beside me. A former military dad with wife and two kids. When I cut loose the 445s, he asked what it was. I told him and he hadn't heard of a 445 before. Showed the family the two different cartridges and explained what the gun was designed for.
I'll try to post a few gun pics if I can get the new soft ware to let me. I forgot to keep my targets so no pics of shooting . Also notice that the gun is in a Dan Wesson foam box, but its for a 7445 and the serial number doesn't match. Oh well.
Seems I can't browse my computer to find the pics to upload. Jody, looks like you have some work to do to tweak the forum software.

Yea I bet that compensated Supermag really booms! I can't believe I have been a Dan Wesson owner for going on 3 yrs and still am Supermagless. A deficiency I hope to fill when the right one comes along for me.
Looking forward to some cool pics of your new one when the software gets smoothed out.

SMF,
not only have I fired one, but one of the rarest of the breed! That day I knew I must have a Supermag. I have been saving OT money so when I find a minty one I like at a realistic price it will happen.
My just keeps getting sidelined by such trivial things as college tuitions, Jeep parts, family vacations etc
