Yep, that's one of the early ones with the short hammer spur. They changed to the long spur somewhere between #'s 10351 & 11273.

Congrats on your cool find, that's agtdw in my book!occasion

Ooooh very shiny! And at that price it can merit a nice LB grip.

Nice looking and nice buy!  It doesn't look like much of a turn ring either - you got a good one!

Thanks guys !  Shroud is ported and barrel is not and the barrel nut

came off like butter.  Must have held the door for the right person this

week laugh.

Rear sight is white outline, kinda figured to see all black rear sight on an early

model, maybe someone changed it ?

That was a great deal on a nice looking specimen, gtdw for sure!

I read in the brochure that came with my 1979ish 15-2 that white outline sights were standard at that time, so would't the early guns have the white outlines more so than the later ones?

Your 44 is only a few hundred before the one I picked up in Dec.

Yes, the early guns had the white outline rear sights. I'm not sure when they switched them to non-outline sights, I guess that will be one more little thing to observe on gun auctions.laugh

Blacktop, I'm glad there was no o-ring...it would suck to have that happen twice in a row.lol2

Great price on a .44, and a very nice early one. What gunshow was that one at?
