This gun pack is pretty much perfect. The seller said he has fired 2 cylinders worth of ammo thru it…12 shots. It has no cylinder drag lines. He said he bought it at a gun show in Colorado from a DW rep. The rep said they were testing the market to see how well the 3 nickel packs sell to decide whether to continue producing nickel versions. He also bought a nickel .44 that same weekend from that rep. He said it was a couple years before CZ bought DW company. I guess that means around 2002-2003? He said he paid $1600 for this pack back then.

A couple of years is 2 or is it more? It appears to be a pre 1986 Monson gun. Very pretty.
That’s what Bill told me, but maybe his memory is off by a few years? Or DW had this pistol laying around a few years before giving it the nickel plating and selling? Based upon this pistol’s serial 25774x and the DWF Serial Registry, it could be a 79-81 manufacture date.
No matter to me, I’m happy to have it!

Looks excellent!!!! I was fortunate too, Bill sold me a fairly rare 357 Pistol Pack II which I felt very grateful to get. Still looking for a nice 740 Super Mag or a Model 40 Super Mag..
Thanks, I too am grateful to Bill, he was very fair on price and real stand-up guy.
