Ok question to the crew is the 22 LR and 22 WMR bore diameter the same on the 22 models?
The reason I ask is I can't seam to find a 22 mag at a reasonable price but I have 2 22 LR and am thinking I might have one chambers reamed to 22 WMR but I don't want to if accuracy will suffer.
If anyone knows the answer or has done it please let me know how or if to proceed with this project.
Thanks in advance NobodyDunit.
I searched 288 pages looking last night but didn't find anything.

Actually, SAAMI bore for LR is .217, groove is .222. Magnum is .219 bore/ .224 groove.
22LR bullet is .2255 (-.0040) and 22 Mag is .2245 (-.0040), so the 22 LR bullet is actually a bit larger. This is due to 22LR typically being lead and magnums being jacketed.
A lead 22LR shot through a barrel made for a 22Mag should present no issues either. Poor accuracy of jacketed 22 mag bullets (through a smaller 22LR barrel) is probably going to be attributed to jacket/ core construction.
Looking through my records, I see I've never slugged any of my 22LR or Magnum barrels. Something else to do....
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
You can look up the specks on the 22 mag then have a smithy check the 22 lr rifeling with a gage pin. as you know Ruger has made and sold thousands of 22 convertable revolvers over the years with just changing the cylinders out. So the chance of having DW fit a new 22 mag cyl to your revolver would be very possible. I remember someone on this forum has posted that exact service. What ever you do make sure the smithy you use has the smarts to properly time the cylinder to the gun, or just go to DW that can perform the job with confidence.
I bought a 22 mag cylinder on ebay. I put it in a 22lr. I think they would go for more than a 22lr but less than a factory 22 mag. Factory 22 mag cylinders have a M on the face I think. The problem with putting a 22 mag cylinder in a 22 is finding a 22 mag shroud. Few and far between and very pricey.
