I took the afternoon off work yesterday and went to the range to try out my EWK barrel and my 2.5" barrel from CZ. And I wuz pleased!! Here's a photo of my first target, set at about 12 yards, shooting off hand with Eric's 4" barrel. I shot low with the first cylinder full, but the second cylinder full was in the 10 ring. I like the balance of the barrel. It's heavy but short, and consequently is very stable.
Here's a couple of photos sporting the EWK barrel and a set of Gripper grips that I got from from Promad.
I was also pleased with the snubby barrel from CZ. That too was a very nice shooter. All in all, I put about 50 rounds through each. Here's a pic sprting the snubby.
Then I moved on to my other new purchase. This little gun cost me $129, brand new. It's a HP22A Saturday night special from Phoenix Arms in Ontario, CA. It's ironic isn't it that California is the SNS manufacturing capital of the USA. Well it makes sense, somebody has to supply the cholos with their two-twos. Apparently, Phoenix turns out about 30,000 of these a year. But I was surprised just how good this little sucker shoots. I put 250 rounds through it with no problems. And it's accurate - I murdered a lot of Shoot-n-See squirrels with head shots at 6 yards.
