Grandkid Max, soon to be 12, is from sunny SoCal (Redondo Beach) and has been staying with us for a month. I've been breaking him in on stuff a kid from RB doesn't get a chance to do.. one of them is shooting.
Started him on my Marlin Golden 39, then asked if he wanted to try a hand gun? "Oh, yeah!" Shot up a couple of boxes of 22 with the High Standard Victor. "Oh, this is a *lot* more fun than a rifle!"
"Want to try a .357 Magnum?" "Dunno, that looks awfully powerful.." "Trust me, Max..."
I was out of boolits, so we (he) made up 50 starting loads for .357 Mag while I watched him like a hawk. This is no time for short attention span theater, Max...
The results? "WOW. I *LOVE* THIS DAN WESSON!"

Great way to spoil your grand son! Now wait till he is in school and shares what he did on his summer vacation!
That's what grand parents are for. Except for mine.. she was really old school. Kids are meant to be seen and not heard.
Broke him in on a fly rod and cleaning fish yesterday.. oh, and some more reloading and
