I just got these.  They both look VERY gently used.  I was happy to even find these, let alone snag them both Cool  I also picked up a LNIB or possibly NIB model 740 .357 Supermag.  I posted a pic of it in the largeframe/supermag pic section.

Wow, talk about Holy Grails. I've never seen either of them before. Great score!

That is an awesome addition to any Dan collection. You don't see many of like that.

Heat:

You're lucky that Proxibid screwed me up on the bid for the Action Cup.  They didn't allow me enough time to click on the next bid.  If that hadn't happened, one of us would have paid a lot more for that gun.

Enjoy.

I was having problems with it too.  I just lucked out that I was able to get my bids in.  I lost my connection and didn't know I had even won the supermag until later.  I am glad your bid didn't go through.  I was determined to get them, you probably just would have cost me a divorce Cry

Congratulations heat73!

Picking one up, they are heavy as a brick Big Grin

Your AC differs from mine; it has a standard hammer, suggesting it can be shot single action.

My AC is double action only, will only chamber .38 Special and was mfg. in Monson.

Yours would be the model 708 ? I thought they were only made in 92. Didn't they switch to Palmer sometime in 92 ? I don't know which month, yours early 92 ? while still at Monson. I have warranty paperwork on the PPC from 7-16-92. My PPC is a Palmer gun. The letterhead from warranty shows monson. Must have been using up the old forms after the move ?

Yes, mine is based on the 708, however the frame of the ACs are not milled out for a rear sight.  I bought my AC used and didn't get any original papers with it, so I lack the information on when it was actually produced.  Serial number is 38S0012xx.

So tell me about that shroud... Is that a dan wesson shroud made for that model or an aftermarket shroud?

Thanks

Those are very limited production DW revolvers, and those are DW shrouds made specifically for those revolvers.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Nice! Welcometo the DW-AC/PPC club!

My AC is also like Waynes - double action only, will only chamber .38 Special and was mfg. in Monson.

I belived the PPC was made in black only, guess I was wrong. (My PPC is black).

Does these instruction books include any special information for the AC/PPC?

Im missing these books – could you possible make a scan for these books for me
