Read "The Average Joe Tuneup" in gunsmithing. It is very easy. The long sideplate screw in the grip tang captures the mainspring. The plug on the grip tang bottom stays there. Do not remove it. Once the mainspring is captured you remove the hammer and then unscrew the sideplate screw while you keep the guide rod from flying out. Then rod and spring come out. READ the tutorial.

Thanks! I did a trigger pull on the gun and was surprised it's higher than my model 12 right now. (2.8 vs 3.4) but the nickel has a shorter pull and the double action is much lower than any other Dan at 9.7 lbs right now) It will be interesting to see where it goes. I noticed wolff gives you two springs in the package a 7.5 and an 8 pounds.
Use 8 lb. The 71/2 lb can result in light strikes. Models 11,22 14 and 15 have the original short hammer fall. Shortest of any revolver. It was changed in the Dash 1s and 2s. The real benefit is the Wolff trigger return spring. It makes the action much smoother. If you put the 11,12,114,or 15 trigger in a later gun you will have the short hammer fall. The early triggers have no ledge for the return spring to rest on.
