just acquired a model 15 pork chop…well technically i guess it’s a 15-1? Although it says 15 on the gun
nothing special….just dont have a 15 porker, probably overpaid but it’s in great condition and dont plan on selling.

My W12 is one of the most accurate handguns that I own.

VERY nice! Large rear sight is a 15, not 15-1. The grip is probably Powerwood (plastic). Shoot it but don't holster it and it will stay pretty.

Exactly, not a 15-1, but a 15...which is rarer than a 15-1! big-grin The 15-1's have smaller front & rear sights much like a 15-2, but are still a porkchop BA design.

Regardless, the 15 and 15-1 are both rare birds, and from a collectors point of view, both are really cool to keep simply because they were only available for a few short months on each model. From what I've seen the 15-1 is the overall rarer model mainly because it was built as sort of a precursor to the 15-2 early 1974, and by 1975, was on the same catalog with the 15-2...the 15-2 wasn't a porkchop BA, and had interchangeable front sights. The rest was history (IE took off like a Roman candle)...!

I suspect DW sold their inventory of 14-1and15-1 to High Standard in order to clear the decks for the dash 2s. I think at least 40,000 dash1s were roll marked High Standard.

I'm new to this forum but just bought a very similar DW 15 pork chop last week. Paid $600.00, don't know if that is bad or good. I have three other DW's, one 14 and two 15's. Those were all less than $400.00 each.

I’m thinking it’s a wood grip not Powerwood,  Sorry Old Dog I always agree with you but not this time😀

I think Capt Jacks gun in first pic has a Powerwood grip. Devine Jim's gun is wearing real wood.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I agree, that's how they look to me, too.

I am getting cataract surgery in May. I can't see well enough on my phone to tell. I have been wearing glasses for 64 years. I don't know whether to be happy or scared of not having eye protection.

It will be great!! You won't believe what you have not been seeing!! The colors you see now are dull or muted... after they will pop.

I’ve also heard cataract surgery has very good results and isn’t as risky as it may have been years ago due to great advances in medical procedures.

I am going to look into rapamycin. It is supposed to roll back aging. Also, daily Cialis/Viagra supposedly can ward off Alzheimer's. Annoying side effects though. For the wife. 😆
