Canada Post was kind enough to deliver the first part of my latest DW possession; the legal paperwork takes a little time up north here to get the frame transferred into my name, but within the next week or so I shall have the complete revolver.
The 8" is a VH, all the others are H shrouds. I don't have the 4" and 2" barrels, as they are prohibited here. I was happy just finding the grips, let alone being able to purchase the frame and barrels as well. Here's what arrived today:

After a couple of months I finally have my new 15-2. I still have to wait for my Registration to arrive before I can legally take it to the range - that can take up to another month. So far the single action feels a lot lighter than my older DW, I'm thinking it is going to be another great shooter. I believe the serial number makes it a 1981 Monson production. Supposedly less than 50 rounds, the 8" and 6" barrel have never been fired. The 2" barrel needed to be destroyed, so the shroud is just for looks up in Canada. EWK is making me a legal 106mm barrel for the 4" shroud.
I opened it up to have a look - hardly any wear at all and nothing to even clean - takes all the fun out of buying a new DW!

Looks barely used. They actually slick themselves up with use. Very neat you were able to get a barrel to use on the 4" is that what they call a "silly millimeter "? I like to use a little Flitz on the blue. I just rub it in with my fingers and wipe. It will clean up those flutes on the cylinder.

So you are allowed to own handguns in Canada? I thought that was long gone. Congrats.
SMF
Oh we can own them alright, but there are specific regulations that are universal across the country - the biggest is that any hand gun with a barrel shorter than 105mm (4") is prohibited from being owned. Therefore, all new 4" barreled guns are 4.25" now. People that owned shorter barreled guns were grandfathered and you can pass them down to immediate family only. Also, we can only use hand guns at a regulated range, you cannot carry them in the bush or for personal protection. There are a few people allowed bush carries, but not many - usually prospectors.
