This time it was a 22lr with a 6 inch barrel. to add to the 357 and 44mag. Not going to say what i paid for it , but I couldn't get the money out of my wallet fast enough. Only issue is there will be another person in that special place in HELL for people that don't clean there guns. This is after cleaning the mud and dirt off and scrubbing the barrel clean.

Thanks I couldn't fix the link and had to run out. I hate when you look in the barrel and the rifling is covered in powder and deposits. you alway question did You make the right purchase.Lluckily 20 minutes with clp and cleaners and the wire brush and it looks acceptable. We will see how it shoot sunday. He was complaining how the action was stiff and wouldn't rotate the cylinder. Well the grip was loose so I tried to tighten it up more and the action was locked like when you disassemble. Looks like there should be a washer on the cap bolt for the handle which was lost so someone had kept tightening till it locked the action. Made a nice spacer from a small bearing sleeve and washer and now the action cycles flawlessly.

Of course the NICE thing about people that don't clean their guns is that they tend to sell them cheap. Maybe that's some form of penance.
I need to get myself a .22 too ... just so I can afford to actually shoot.

re: Taurus Bashing
I've owned 2 Taurus, with the following results:
PT 1911, my entry level 1911 which was a good pistol, always worked without any problem. I traded up to a DW 1911, and all is well!
A used Taurus .22 revolver that I bought knowing it had a gritty, crappy trigger pull. I couldn't fix it with a Wolff spring replacement, and traded it off
One other note: I bought my son a used PT 1911 which he still has and uses as his 1911 toy, lots of tinkering, parts swapping, etc. No problems.
All that said, Taurus has an atrocious Customer Service reputation.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I Have to respond I have had nothing but the utmost experience
with Taurus. I have only sent one gun back to them, not because
of function but because I thought it should group better but would
have been well within industry standards given the model. I
received the gun back in two weeks and it is now extremely
accurate, especially for a snubby, it is wicked accurate.
Multiple, multiple times I have called their service and parts
for little pins, springs, screws and what not's for guns I picked
up and traded up or off or sold just because and only once
was I ever charged and then it only $5 to cover shipping.
