that looks really great, and large enough to maybe hold a 10 and 12VH. was the packing in there and you cut or did you have to get it from somewhere else? Nice job!!!

Pelican sells their cases several ways. No Foam, Solid Foam, or what they call the "Pick and Pluck" foam. This is the pick and pluck. Its partially pre-cut into little squares so you can pick out the squares you don't want. There was only a couple of places I rounded it off with a razor like around the trigger guard and the grip.
I tried to do the Pelican case I bought for my Mossberg with the solid foam and cut it myself. Trust me, the pick and pluck is easier Thanks for the compliments.

That is very cool.
My company carries "Pelican" style cases and I've been tempted to mess with one. I'd like to set one up to handle the 715 and 741 with all of the extra goodies. I may have to pull a "sales" sample to bring home for some measurements.

if you find one...what's your plan?

If it is solid, high density foam- the electric filet knife is a great tool for cutting. Lay everything out in a reverse image of how you want it. Trace the items, cut out the trace. Flip the foam over and viola, you have the middle piece of foam. A thin piece for top and bottom completes the case.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
