Well, here it is, for better or worse....
I'm assuming a 15-2 (where do they put the model numbers on these things?) with a 4V and 6V barrel set. 1978'ish, judging by the SN database (1698xx.) A few light scratches, a little dab of surface rust, but nothing I can't fix. The Pachys are history, though... need something with a little more DW class!
More pictures later, and some questions... I have to head out of town at 0400 tomorrow... No range time until next week.

1978 seems right, I think you have the overtravel screw in the trigger, and I'd guess you have recessed chambers, where the case rim drops fully into the cylinder. At some point in time these earlier features changed. I don't know how much functionality they added to the gun, but they are some hallmarks of the earlier 15-2's
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

charlie98, Good looking DW you got there. I think you'll enjoy your .357 and after shooting it you will just have to continue your search for that .41 DW.
I had sent you a PM over on MO forum about a 41 DW and now I see we both ended up here on DWF . You know what they say, "Brilliant minds think alike" , Lonnie.

30 year waiting period, tough laws you got there.
...boy, ain't that the truth.
For as much as I lusted after a DW I don't know why I never just went and got one. I've never been a big revolver man so mentally I just put it on the backburner for all these years.
I'll still be on the prowl for a 41, but this allows me time to regroup and get the loot saved up for The Right Time.
Performance and feature-wise... it does have countersunk chambers, but I don't think it has an overtravel stop on the trigger... I'll have to look. The SA pull is OK, but the DA pull is awful with almost a linear stacking of resistance. I can hear the springs crunching inside, so a complete strip and I&R is in order.... and a 6VH barrel
