Good day today, a small local fire company had a gun show this weekend, probablly 60 tables. I stopped in to see what was there, mainly looking for reloading supplies. Low and behold I find a guy with a 2.5 VH and 6" Standard BA, both BRAND NEW Monson 357s! We talked for awhile and I made an offer for the two BAs and told him to kick in the brand new belt buckel too. $150 later I'm out the door. He had some other BAs but they were in various states of used/abused. He said he got the new ones at public sale from a sporting goods store that went out of business. He said very few people knew much about DWs these days, was surprised to find somebody at that small a show looking for DW. I said I was surprised to find anybody selling DW stuff at such a small show.

Will do Charlie. All he had in 4" was a standard shroud, fairly well used, dull finish. Had a VH8 but it was used and dull also. I really wasn't looking for the BAs I got but they were so nice I didn't want to walk away from them. The belt buckle is mint, looks like it just came out of a pack after 30 years in a closet. He had some grips but they were beat up.

Very cool! I find that a man can never have too many barrel assemblies. You must have the DW karma lately, wasn't it you that scored a minty Pac a week or so ago? I'm gonna start following you around to pick up the leftovers!

Lonwolf93, that was me with the pack. Its been a good few weeks, oddly enough I wasn't actually looking for the stuff I got, I sort of fell into it. Now I'd like to be able to find some of the stuff I actually am looking for at a decent price, that hasn't happened yet.
I'm going to try the show in York next weekend and see what may be lurking there.

Scorpio, let us know what you see in York next week, I am working all that weekend 6to6 so I'll miss it. Did you get a card or anything from the guy you got the ba's from, I'd might be interested in some he had left.

No card, but a friend had a booth there, he may know who the guy is. He did say he is from the general area, so he may be at York. I'll look for him and get his info.
