Finally got most of the "extra" grips together to assess the collection. It appears that Sile made some of the original walnut grips at one time or another. On two different occasions I purchased new small frame grips, and they both showed up in Sile boxes with the exact same "DW" markings. The Pachmayr in the 3rd row on the left has the DW emblems in the original Pachmayr box - one of my favorites. Each one of the "brown wrappers" is a new zebra. Oh, for those that really need to classify collecting behavior into "collecting" or "accumulating", I'll gladly move into the "hoarding" category!

I'm on my way. In a short time I now have ended up with 5 Dan's and 12 grips.
opps... I forgot about the two that are in the mail. A Michigan style for the 14 & 15-2 and a Decelerator for the 44.
Endeavor to persevere,
Press on regardless.

Get a grip man!
"We are like dwarfs on the shoulders of giants, so that we can see more than they, and things at a greater distance, not by virtue of any sharpness of sight on our part, or any physical distinction, but because we are carried high and raised up by their giant size." Bernard of Chartres
I am a wood lover and a dan lover so collecting grips fits. In my zeal I bought a really neat grip on ebay. Oops! Doesn't fit a dan. Wish I could do pictures, I could save a thousand words. It is finger grooved, thumb rest, flat bottomed with a diamond shaped metal plate on the bottom. The grip screw is much bigger than a DW but is allen headed. Two small screws hold the bottom plate on and must be removed to access the grip screw. Please tell me it is to a very rare and valuable revolver so I won't feel like a fool. Oh, the grip tang will not fit into the round hole.

Harly is a good friend, and a Serial Accumulator
He does a great job of watching the many places that cool stuff is found, and getting in early.
He is an FFL, and regularly offers excellent deals on some pretty good stuff (if I could have legally done so, I'd have gotten a couple of the RRA lowers he recently had)
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
