I'm getting a DW 15-2 with an 8" barrel from a buddy of mine. I plan on using it for target shooting and deer hunting this next fall. I'm trying to figuire out what I need for a holster. I want to install a Burris Fastfire2 fast aquisition site (no scope). I don't take long shots (even with my shotgun) as I try and do my homework and keep my shots within 50 yds. I would like to keep my pistol out of the elements until needed, but don't want to have to dig to get to it when needed. I'm thinking maybe a cross draw type holster that would be on a bandolier type belt that would go over my right shoulder (I'm right handed) that would protect my pistol under my coat, but still somewhat easy access to. Due to constant weather changes, I think this would be the best set up so that I wouldn't have to keep adjusting belts etc when I'm wearing more or less clothes (coveralls, vests etc.). Not sure if this type of rig even exists but if I could find a belt holster that fit the pistol with fastfire on it, I think I could make the rest of the rig. Any suggestions anyone? Thanks ahead of time!-Fuzzy

My serious hunting rig for s scoped handgun is a bandolier that places the gun on your chest. This keeps it out of the way whil climbing or moving around and gives you instant access.
I don't remember what brand mine is, but it is similiar to these.
I love leather holsters, but so far this gets the job done best. speedloader case clips on the shoulder strap.
