I have what I assume is a Model 15-2. It is serial number 51XXX and is marked Monson, Mass. It has a 6" barrel with a fairly noticeable ding on the shroud.
I'd like to replace the shroud, as well as buy a 2" barrel and shroud and wrench.
Anything special I should know about this particular model before I start buying replacement parts?
Are the parts I need fairly available?
What should I expect to pay for parts like these?
BTW, this thing must have been built like a bulldozer. A .357 with a 6" barrel, and it is heavier than my Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Mag with a 7" barrel. That's a good thing!

Pictures (which we always like) would be helpful to make a much more educated identification.
As to parts the 15-2 has been out of production for a long time, thought CZ/Dan Wesson is very good about getting parts back out. You can get a DW tool (looks like a doorknob) or order an aftermarket from EWK (see sidebar to right).
Barrels, shrouds, and a pair (called a Barrel assembly) in blued can be expesive new but can be had. They can also be found used on gunbroker for about half the new price. The prices are in constant flux, depending on the current demand/supply. Currently, used 6"VH should fetch about $150.
Hope that helps.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

There are no vents on my barrel shroud. I'll try to get some pics up. I assume that not all barrel assemblies will interchange and I need to make sure which one I'm getting?
Have a look through the various shroud styles HERE, maybe that will help answer some questions.
