Check out my new 22LR 6V:

(BTW, anybody know if you can rotate pics once you get em uploaded?). I also got it with these extras for $370 on GB:
a couple light rust spots, but nice blueing overall and some extra goodies (brochures on the 22 and revolvers in general, a price list dated october 1, 1979, instruction manual wrench/feeler gauge, pleather pouch, and blank warranty card) i've enjoyed perusing a couple times already. AND, i can shoot this baby in my backyard (not so scary for the neighbors, i hope!) and for about 10% of the $$ of my .38 spl loads. I hope you like the name i gave this curvy beauty, too! haha....

the backstory....
i joined this forum about a month ago, just after i stumbled upon a cheap
15-2 from a local dealer ($285, pictured on top with pachmayr presentation grip....new 22 pictured on bottom).
after one trip to the range with my (see "glad to join the club!" under the "new members introduction") i was in love but the $$$ and drive to my father-in-law's country house or nearest range was prohibitive. i started looking at .22's for cost, and then my neighbor texted me the next weekend: "do you mind if i shoot my .22 pistol in the backyard this afternoon?" HELL YEAH! of course i don't mind.....that means if i get one, i can too? (only live on a 1.3 acre lot but it backs up to a field that is almost always vacant and easy to check if so!!!!)
i looked for a couple wks on GB and other sites, and this was the best deal i could find. i was looking for a 22- vh6, because i wanted a "twin" for my
15-2, although the best deal i could find was on a 22-v6, with my burning a hole in my pocket. Soooo, i won this baby on GB only to find in the literature included after i received it.....
15-2 6VH weighs 42 oz
22 6V weighs 44 oz (BUT 6VH weighs 47 oz).
so i actually got something closer to the same weight and, DAN sexy if you ask me! i plan to post something on modifications soon....your comments/suggestions are welcome until then though! peaceout,

Nice Dans, you have scored a couple deals there! That 22 was a great deal with the soft case and everything that you got with it.
And if I didn't say it before, welcome to the forum.

You got 2 very good deals. I shoot .22 lr (indoor) at a private club about 1/2 mile from home, so I shoot a lot of rimfire. My 722 is 4VH, and I pretty much only shoot .357 in 4VH. Recently we got a Ruger SR22, which is the functional twin of our "house gun", a Smith M 59 in 9mm.
There's a lot to be said for having a rimfire twin for your Big Boy guns
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
