This is my 15-2V6. I bought it a few years ago from the original owner. IIRC, I paid $250 for it, and at the time it looked pretty new. Since then, it has seen plenty of abuse and flawlessly shot a few thousand rounds. It's starting to show a little character, but has a long way to go.
According to the seller, he received the gun as a Christmas present in 1976 and he had rarely ever touched it. It came to me with the original box, barrel tools, feeler gauge, warranty card, instruction booklet, color brochure, printed insert for color brochure (dated 11/1/76) and retail price list (dated 11/1/76).
As I stated in the new members forum, the 15-2 is my favorite of all my guns. It is more accurate, shot more and carried more than any of my handguns.
Sadly though, it is the only DW I own. For now

Very nice, you can see a little bit of the "Barney" effect starting, where the frame starts to show a purple hue. This is not uncommon with DW's of that era, and does not affect function, as you well know. From the literature in the box and the serial number, I think it's possible that the original purchaser actually got that one in 1977.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
