Well, about two months ago marks the date where I finally got my hands on the gun I have been eyeballing for almost 4 years. My Dan Wesson revolver. As you can tell I'm an old school kind of guy who had to settle with a "new" gun... it didn't end well. What I failed to notice about this new gun(Charter arms goldfinger revolver) was the small round butt grip which I could not keep still in my hand while firing it on the range no matter how hard I held it, the snub nose had quite a bit of a kick to it and had poor accuracy when I fired it. I also could never quite get the hang of the front site as it always was down and to the left for some reason.
So I gave that one to my dad who had been looking for something small to carry considering he couldn't carry his Taurus Judge without having a big budge in his side. I finally returned to my favorite gun store as saw that she was put on sale that day and decided to take here out of the display case to which she was accustom to for so many years. And immediately I fell in love with the gun all over again with its smooth square butt grip which fit perfectly in my hand, and the nice medium 6v and 2 1/2HV barrels that came with it. I had to have it that day, right then, right now! When I got home I was pleased with the unboxing and was taken by its wonderful beauty.
And so the tradition began with another happy customer who will pass on the great name in firearms that is Dan Wesson.

I have a Charter Arms snub nose .38 spl like yours thats blued. I like the light weight of them and the conceal ability of them. I shot up a 200 lb wild hog with mine one night in front of my driveway. I did have to finish him off with something a little bigger. They are pretty accurate once you get use to the Kentucky windage of them.
Thats a really nice DW you picked up. Looks mint. I know you will enjoy that one. Let us know how she shoots? Welcome to DWF.
