Going to be a killer waiting,but I bought this. Will be about 30 days as it is in a layaway program right now.
He believes the Pistol pack is likely unfired .Made in 1978. It all looks to be in near mint condition and maybe unfired to me also.
Going to be agony waiting for it to get here. What if anything is possibly missing from the Pack?
Hopefully some pics.

No opinions on complete or not, or anything otherwise? I did get to looking and these hard cases likely came with a key. Is that the case? If so are they readily available if missing. Never owned a original Pack before this one.
Key if missing not a big deal. I like it is a Matching case by numbers though, and in pretty good shape throughout. Thanks

Yep that is the one. I am hopefully going to pay Bear the balance next week. Good guy. I have had other dealings with him on the CMP.
A lot of money for me. But I gave up on ever building my 15-2 I have into a phony Pistol pack. That is just way too expensive I found out to accomplish that. Crazy what separate pieces cost to do it. Then I still would have had a NON original Pistol pack to boot. So I am thrilled with this find. I could not ever find just one affordable Barrel, let alone the three I needed. Only had the 8 to start with. And then find a Hard case, and everything else I needed that was even close to affordable to me.
I was lucky to find such a nice original and complete pack like I did I think.
Now I need to buy a Belt for the buckle,LOL.
Would you have paid the price I did? Seems several fellas were disappointed I got it first, but they may have just been tire kickers too.

Hate to really say, but 1375.00 shipped. Everyone on the CMP knows anyway I guess. I never stole it by any means. I would have been much more comfortable trying to get it down to around 1100.00. But I knew if I tried, I would likely lose it to someone with a unconditional I will take it, while I was haggling.
I wanted it bad, so I pulled the trigger so to speak. I have lost stuff I really wanted before from that mistake.
I will have no FFL fees on top atleast. Good friend is a FFL here in Town.

Not sure why you think you paid too much .. I believe you got a deal unless there is something wrong I can't see. The going rate for a fairly complete pack in good condition is $1,500 to $1,800. Looks like you are missing some white insert front sights, but overall, a nice factory pack.

Got her today. It is even beyond expectations I had. I know some do not like the words like Mint, Unfired. But if this thing was ever fired. It would have been test rounds from the factory. The Blueing is even mint throughout. No Barney as they call it whatsoever. I think it may even have some original oil in places,LOL
You can probably tell I am ecstatic about it.
Now I need to find a key for the Case. Some on Ebay but 41.00, seems kinda steep. Maybe not. Did they number the keys to the Revolvers serial number in any way?

Look on ebay search ATCO KEY then look for #71 that will open both black and brown standard Wesson Cases.

If you have any long time locksmiths in your area they would probably have some keys. I found several in Ocala at a long established locksmith business. They were $5 each.

I actually do, the one and only here is about two blocks from me. Problem is he is kinda slow to do anything. I have a lock from my Wifes Cabinet I took to him over 7 years ago. Never did make the key. He has had my small safe, which is open right now. And he cannot even get the combination for that figured out. But in all fairness that has only been like 7 months on that one.. LOL
That gives you an idea what I would be up against there. I talk to him all the time. He just talks more than he works I guess.

Did they ever make a Dan Wesson key chain maybe? I mean a Factory DW one actually put out by DW, not aftermarket?
Also did these Pacs come with just one key or two maybe?
