Well guys,
I have already changed what I will be shooting for my 357.
I just bought the 15-2 blued with the 8" barrel, and low and behold I got the opportunity to buy a nice 715 4" today.
The Blue 8" will be up for sale (that is the deal I made with the wife for today's purchase) and I will add another barrel for the 715 once Eric gets stocked up.
Here are some pics from today.
She had a medium size mark on the left side of the shroud by the sight probably part of the good price. So when I got it home today I completely blew the gun apart, including the sights. I am actually one of those strange people that would enjoys working on my guns. I did the Average Joe action work although I need to order another batch of springs. Then I addressed the mark on the gun with a 320 grit foam sanding block (perfect match for the existing finish) and adding my FRESH NEW Millet sights that BFR/Magnum Research shipped me this week (thanks for that thread).
Here is a peek of it now.
I will be adding some nice grips in the near future.

No LB, very sweet, but it needs one of your grips for Church on Sunday. Always one to give unsolicited advice, Terry, you should renegotiate with the wife and keep both. If you don't you will regret it. Sell one of those overpriced sem-i autos we all have but hardly use instead.

terry mc-
Your post pretty much sums up the DWF spirit. You got an older gun, cleaned it up and tuned it up. It's a real beauty, one to be proud of. I have a grip (not an LB, but very special) that you might like and would look awesome on a 715.
PM me if interested

Thanks guys,
I really like this Dan. My Blue 8" is nice but it needs some refinishing, and the 715 is less common than the 15-2 so this is going to be a permanent member of my collection. Also I love that the guts are stainless as well what I nice plus.
Plans include the grips as mentioned, the sights are done for now maybe an EWK fiber sight for the 4" later, definitely an EWK 8" RH barrel to compliment the existing 4" with rings and a scope down the road.
The only negative so far has been these grips, sorry for the Pachmayer fans but yuck! These are hard plastic and too short for my hand to fit comfortably. Not to mention that with my XXXL size hands my trigger finger wants to be on the second segment on the trigger, not so good for my accuracy. I like the stock target grips and even the cheap rubber Hogues that I have for the 15-2 for my hands. We are all made different so these probably work well for others but not me.
Ole Dog, I understand the sentiment,:) but I will have to stick with my original agreement. Besides peace in the house now makes for possibilities in the future (744 someday?). Also most of my Semis are from the current parent company CZ and they also are some fine shooters especially my CZ75 B Single Action(exquisite shooter) which I have customized in as Steve said in true DWF fashion .
Steve, I sent you a PM looking forward to see what you have. I have a target grip that I may get back but may not as my brother in law has already found someone who is interested in the 15-2 and the grip may go with it. Really want to see what you have, I have a feeling it will be nice.

Those Pachy presentation grips are pretty common, but not necessarily good for shooting. You will really like the fiber optic. Love them on my 715 and 741.
I wager there is a Pointman in your future!

I should have some updated pictures up in about a week or so, with some very special grips.
Brucertx,
Shhh! your going to get me in trouble, the wife can hear when temptation hits so don't tempt me. Ha, ha!
On the fiber-optic I am not sure, the Millet rear sight has a shallow notch so I am not sure the optic will be very visible. I have a deeper notch on my rear sights on my CZ that has the fiber optic on it. And the Pachy, well I just talked to my best friend and he was surprised I hated them, I made him a deal though he could have them, all he had to do was buy the 15-2 so he had something to hang them on, but the grips are free though.

Terry- Your first picture belongs in the next calendar, it is beautiful. Thanks for putting that Eagle grip to good use, I'm glad it found a happy home.

Nice pics and a beauty of pistol. That set of grips you managed from Steve CT definitely take he to a new class.

Thanks for the positive comments guys.
I love this gun, took it out last Friday and shot it a little bit and the new grip makes a huge difference on the feel over that Pachy.
I just finished changing it over to Sentry Smooth Kote and BP2000 for the action, since I had some cohesion issues with oil, after doing a deep action polish. But that is a story for another thread.
