Thanks for the well wishes. It was 6 total but got the tool and a Hogue grip. I just had it apart and really didn't need to polish much. There is an issue with the latch. The set screw holding it in was never done right. It should be down tight but (was) out like 1/4"+ Someone didnt tap nearly enough and the screw was jammed in place. It was a huge hassle and still not fixed. No body carry's a 4-40 tap or set screw. I cut on the latch and it now seats deeper. It obviously wasnt firmly catching and not related to the set screw that barely held the latch in the cylinder. The rest of the gun was pretty well done and not left with rough cuts.

Interesting thoughts there. I think the, proper, set screw was lost by someone and replaced with a screw with no smooth shank area. It looked to me that the gun wasn't fully tapped because the full thread screw was jamming into where it wasn't tapped. The screw is now in deeper but not looking right. The latch is now very firmly snapping into place, while before, was not at all tight and was moving around when latched. I think the rough machining marks are scraping lead and sizing down the rounds. It was really clean, this morning and shot much better for a couple dozen rounds but then went bad again and I can't see the rough cylinder( throats ?) I went to the .006 gap too and keep it cranked tight so it doesn't loosen up. The manual says don't over tighten but how tight is too tight?

Barn,
Steve is right. Many small frame, especially 22 for some reason use a roll pin. Look in the " exploded diagrams" in the supporter section. Part 21 or part 22 is actually designated as a pin. I don't know exactly what you did when you say " you cut on the latch". Be aware that too far in is as bad as too far out regarding cylinder position. Check the slot in the frame for carbon or dirt.
Tighten the lightly oiled barrel nut firmly, heavy snug, just right. Never use any additional leverage device on the barrel wrench

This is not a roll pin and I can't see those diagrams but I think I saw that set screw, in a diagram, looking as I described. The latch wasn't and couldn't rise enough to grab much on the frame so I filed it, at the top of the slot where the pin or setscrew goes in. I am, maybe, figuring this out. The chambers are rough plus I think there is some front to rear cylinder movement. It likes a larger gap on the barrel and tight enough to stay put. Same thing today after more cleaning, shot like 1 1/2" and only with CCi SV at 50' That is not good but at least I see something possible.

Nice one. Careful though...... .22's get awful addicting!
Not so much, now that .22 ammo costs about the same as reloading .357.
Once I get set up in the new house (with shop space), the reloading bench gets resurrected, and I'll celebrate by picking up a bullet swager . . .and it will be cheaper still.
