Got this one off GB, a Monson 715, also scored an 8" barrel, a scope mount, patch, an extra grip, an DW barrel tool, a DW feeler gauge and a zipper case. The seller said it needed a good cleaning and he wasn't kidding. The leading in the 4" barrel was so bad I could barely see the rifling. A bunch of Shooters' Choice and 25 or so passes with a barrel brush exposed sharp edges on the rifling. The grit on the yoke (I hope I naming the right part) was so bad the cylinder would turn but not spin. It spins now but needs more cleaning. She needs a good internal cleaning but she's a shooter right now. The magnums were loud and rattling parts of the stall but perceived recoil was minimal. I like it! My 13 year old put specials through and he likes it as well. I'm going to have to share trigger time. Talk about great family time.
New springs will be here soon and I'll treat her to Shoot's Average Joe tune-up. The shooting will be really sweet then.
Just have to decide on some new LB grips for her. That Gabon Ebony is looking real good right now.

The crane. The cylinder on my 15-2 PP was about like that when I first got it. When cocking the hammer back, the serrations on the hammer felt like they were gonna peel the skin off my thumb...cheeze grater style. But when I swung the cylinder open & then cocked it, it was almost normal.
It amazes me how bad some people will let their guns get, due to laziness or lack of know-how.
