I've already introduced myself in the introduction thread. Here is my new to me Wesson Firearms Inc. 15-2?.. fixed barrel, 6" .357Magnum from the Palmer Plant. I'm not really sure of the model as it's not quite as definitive as my S&W's, Colts and Rugers. Any insight is appreciated.
After a complete disassembly and cleaning, everything appears to be nearly pristine. Internals and bore are solid and now immaculate. Correct wooden DW grips are on the way. More after I get a chance to run her some.
I violated a cardinal rule by acquiring the 6" as I always carry and shoot everything I acquire.

After further research, I've come to find out that these Palmer fixed barrel guns are hard to find but not very desirable. As stated in my introduction post, I took a hit on my trade, but not horribly. I no longer had a need for that sidearm or any of the accessories that were part of the trade. I'm satisfied and I'm sure I'll be more so once I get her to the range.

Coming across a fixed barrel Palmer Made DW would motivate me to work some overtime to raise funds. Sweet looking revolver,

Clearly, that "not very desirable" mantra comes from the inability to interchange barrels. While this the most commonly recognized feature of DW revolvers, it is far from being the only innovation sets them apart from the rest.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
