I know worthless without pics...but I have a question anyway. Is there any more collector interest in the older pistol pacs, like with the 2 piece barrel wrench & black DW case? I think the gun is from around 1976 (sn 57xxx).
It had no liner cloth, just the gray foam and rust inhibit paper, did they come with yellow fabric like the later ones?
Just curious if it holds any more value than say my early '80s pistol pac.
Thanks in advance, I'll work on some pics meantime.

The W-12 pacs if complete did not have the yellow cloth! To a collector they maybe more desirable then the later pacs. Depends on the market and how complete it is! This would include 2 extra BA's with the ugly nuts, block to carve your own grip, the W-12, instructions, wrench gauge, and I think an extra grip, plus an extra hammer and trigger assembly in some older pacs.
I will be corrected quickly if this is not correct!
Oh if I missed Welcome and do Show us your Pac!

My bad, it's a 15-2.
I just now realized: A) didn't mean to post in the picture forum, B) it's not a vent-rib barrel (first one I've seen not slotted).
Another difference is the trigger over travel stop is on the trigger & not the frame lke my later gun.
Pac includes: 4 barrels/shrouds, key, belt buckle, patch, tools, & assorted literature, all in the black case.

From what I've seen so far, none of the black case Pac's had cloth inside, the cloth came along when they switched to brown cases. After a while, even the brown cases lost the cloth.
I think the black 15-2 cases were only used for the first year, maybe two. The brown cases came along about the same time as the interchangeable front sights…so I'm guessing your barrels have pinned front sights.
This should be the interior layout of a black case 15-2 Pac (except the extra grip spot that someone cut out).
The later W12, 15 & 15-1 cases all looked pretty much like this inside…
Early 12 & W12's looked like this, with green foam...

I'll check on the pinned front sight when I get home. Exactly like the 15-2 (no V) above and the black case pictured (with only one spare grip slot). It did have colored insert sights with it, so now I'm curious.
Thank you DWA & Charger fan!
1st year for the pistol pacs was 1975?
