It started with my 44 got it from a buddy. Found this forum now Ive packed together a 357, got another 357 on the way. So heres some pics, also a few questions. Share your pics and comments are welcome.
This one is on the way I had the guy send the shroud first he gave it to me for 100. But it doesnt fit in with the pack. I havnt seen a flying saucer barrel tool on ebay yet how much do those go for?
For the shroud there is a DW stamp on the right side and it rusted up. on the left side the lettering isnt carved in like the rest more so etched in. The sight sits a little different too. The main thing I am concerned about is the barrel it says 38 cal. 1:18.75 / A-1 is this safe to shoot 357 through?

I took Steve CT's advice a few trips to the fabric store and a BA later I think I have a pretty respectable pack. Got an ewk wrench a patch some extra sights a comp 3 speed loader.
The red velvet looks cooler in real life but doesnt photo as well as the gold fabric.
Belt buckle is on the way. I think I want a different suitcase samsonite isnt gonna cut it. I think I want an American tourester.

You have a couple of different height front sights there, DW did have different front sights.
The "doorknob" wrench is less common, I don't have a good take on the value as a DW original item.
IMHO-any wrench (for any purpose other than taking a picture of it) except the EWK is a No-Go
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yes, it's fine. The .38 & .357 cartridge both use a .38 bullet. The barrel you have pictured was probably special ordered by a previous owner, the 1:18.75 indicates a slightly faster twist than a standard barrel. I don't know what "A-1" means.
You have some good looking PP's there, nice work!

Some new gun porn
Got me a DWA patch in it looks really nice
I like how the wood grips look I have been finding some good deals at the auction sites. I am looking for beater sets to pull the medallions out of but they get here and there always too nice to pull the medallions out of. I found 1 set to sacrifice so far and have a jewler pulling them out for me and he is having a bitch of a time. He would make a mold for me but it would be way more expensive than multiple cheap beaters. This guy wants to make gold medalions or put diamonds on them and I said its for a gun even im not that crazy...... yet
I got a doorknob barrel wrench and my belt buckle finally came in. It was so filthy it had black scum on it, it was so gross probably next to some dudes crotch for years. But now its been disinfected cleaned and cleaned again then polished. pictures are pre-polishing
The 44 came in for a quick pic. Those grips were only $20 but there so nice there is no way im pulling the medallions out
I think this pack is complete maybe some paperwork but that is not so important to me. I already have an american tourister on the way for my next project.

I couldn't see the pics but to remove the medallions they push out from the inside. Look down the hole the grip tang goes in and use something like a right angle pick or even a small allen wrench to push the medallion out. Sometimes you have to look really hard to find the hole.

I use a small allen wrench to push the medallions out from the inside, I don't know the size of it, but it's the same wrench I use on the locking ring on my RCBS dies. It works as long as somebody didn't glue the medallions in.
Nice work on the pacs, looking good!

I wondering what sounds better the Aftermarket Pak or does Extra Heavy Pak sound cooler?
I managed to get large and small paccys without trying I get lucky sometimes.
My newest acquisition the Dan Wesson Arms belt buckle just a few minor dings. The words on the back are a little jacked up but it was under $50
A word of caution Do Not use the doorknob wrench on an EH shroud it will leave a circular turn mark on it. That is what I get for being lazy and not grabbing my ewk barrel wrench sitting a foot further away. The first and last time I will use that piece of junk. Damn there going for big bucks on ebay. I didnt even know what it was when I saw picture #3 of the first post.
I know some of you eagle eyes noticed the 8in is a original shroud not an aftermarket damn Eric for selling out 8in EH's so quickly. That was on my Christmas list. Anyways ill probably need some fiber optic sights for this pak. I was wondering if a Stainless barrel nut would look cool on a blue shroud? What looks better a slainless shroud on a blue gun or a blue shroud on a stainless gun?
Cut some foam and made me a range pak.
Working on getting some curly koa to LB checked out some pieces the other day they look real nice. Im thinking an LB special in .357 .44 and a koa blank would look stellar in a pak. The silver medallion project will commence after the holidaze. (check my other thread for info)
