I started my search for a DW 15-2VH pistol pac back in March. I knew they were hard to come by and that the prices had been escalating. I got a bit impatient and bid on one on Gun Broker with a 4" and 8" barrel and got it for a "reasonable" price. It handled beyond expectations and accuracy was incredible. (Managed my first sub-3/4" pattern at 7 yards - which with my eyesight is nothing short of miraculous - and if the 6th shot hadn't been a bit of a flier it would have been 1/2"). I was hooked pretty well.

Then I went to a local, small gun show and, sitting on the table of an estate sales company was a pistol pac with a price tag that I thought was a mistake. The estate sales guy had never heard of Dan Wesson and said he wasn't sure what it was worth. Being the suspicious sort, I had a couple of friends who are much more experienced gun buyers than I to take a look. Both said if I didn't buy it, they would. So, I offered the fellow less than he was asking and he immediately accepted. The only things missing are the belt buckle and the label has come off the end of the case - otherwise a couple of very small scratches on the frame and barely any wear marks on the cylinder. And it is a joy to shoot. So, patience prevailed and I am now well on my way to a worse case of DW-itis which started last August with a DW Valor, followed by a VBOB, followed by another Valor in 9mm.

$1,300 would have been a great price, but less is gtdw

You can get Buckles on FeeBay all the time for $30 - $50.  It appears that you've got a bad case of dwas

You did very well. I love finding things locally, at a show or gun shop. More fun than shopping online.

A very nice set. I also like the DWA logo smooth zebra grip.  A good deal too from what I've seen recently. I saw a very nice set at the OGCA that was similar to yours but the gentleman was asking $1995.00. With a little patience you should have no trouble finding a buckle. Enjoy!
