I found this excellent condition 15-2 VH-8 .357 today at my local shop for $399 so I had to take it home. Here it is pictured with my DW 15-2 6 inch. They had another excellent condition DW 15-2 with a 6 inch barrel in 38. Special for $349. I don't know anything about the .38 Specials so I left that one behind.

I've been looking for a 9-2 for years (adjustable sight); yes, you should go get it.
I went back and upon closer inspection it is a Palmer manufactured Wesson Firearms 38 Special with a fixed 6 inch barrel. The serial number on the frame begins with a 38 B001XXX and the barrel is marked 38 SPL CTG but the cylinder accepted both .357 and 38 Spl. snap caps. Hogue grips and very nice bluing with just a coupe specks of surface rust. I didn't know what to make of it so I left again to come home and do some more research.
