Hi, Wanted to post some pics of my new 22. I posted a couple of pics in the "new guy" forum but thought it was more appropriate to continue here. Got the gun from a good buddy who was a IHMSA shooter a while back. The gun was seriously warmed over by the factory. Im told a gentlman named Bill Fantolli was the factory smith who did the custom work and this was one of his guns. Its a Monson gun, but spent some time in Palmer, so its got a Palmer box.
While at the factory the "off" chamber was marked as you can see in the next pic.
Funny, cause from a rest it shoots dime size groups at 20 yards with bulk ammo, LOL so damned if I can find the off one!!
Im told it came from the factory with these grips. Id like to get a similar set for my DW .44
Im thinking they are hogue grips? can anyone verify this?
They have these markings inside
IDK, it may not mean anything, just hoping it would help identify the grips.
Im really thrilled with this gun, it cleanly out shoots my buckmark and the over all quality is just outstanding!
Thanks for looking at my post, really happy to be here.

Mark, I am sure those are Hogue grips, look on their website to see the different styles and wood choices they still offer, they make grips for large frame Dan Wesson also. Their grips are available on quite a few different sites online.

Thanks guys, I will look around. Ive seen the same shape from Hogue and also very similar from LB, just wasnt sure about the laminated look. At first I wasnt sure if I liked it, but its growing on me. This was my first Dan, so I thought it would be fun to make the .44 match the .22!
EDIT:
Ok, found them at MidwayUSA, rosewood laminate about $70 shipped with a 90 day wait!! Im thinking LB, or something in stock from someone on gunbroker or something!

Those are beautiful grips, and they are a Hogue item. If you buy one online, ALWAYS only buy from a picture of the actual grip you are getting. Many sellers post a generic picture.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Congrats on the unique Dan. It's gorgeous. A regular old Monsoon 22-8VH was my introduction to Dan's. It's trigger is absolutely fantastic. I can't imagine what it would be like to have one that was customized at the factory; yours must be so sweet you gain weight just by looking at it. You'll love an LB grip, LB is an artist and a craftsman.

"so sweet you gain weight just by looking at it."
Indeed!! Thanks.
The trigger really took a little getting used to. In SA its only a few ounces...
The first few times I shot it, juuust as I was starting to rest my finger on the trigger and prepare to squeeze.....BANG!! Damn!!
Its solid and repeatable, you can smack the gun as hard as you want and it wont AD, But oh boy is it light.
Now that Ive shot it a bit, I wouldnt have it any other way, makes the 2lb trigger on my .44 feel like a ton!
