Just got back from far north Texas, about 14 hour round trip, why? A 15-2 VH Pistol Pack with the 2.5-4-6-8 and 12" BA and a brand new Bianchi leather shoulder holster for the 12"- serial no. 2101xx, less than 20 original rounds thru the 6" only. And then there is the model 14-2 fixed sight 4", serial no. 3200xx with 15" BA with less than 20 rounds thru the 15" also barest of turn line and a custom leather belt holster for the 15".New extra hogue grips for both still in packaging. Pictures to follow when camera gets charged and I get a nap. Oh yeh, this only my second pistol pack. Also have a line on 357SM never fired in original box with extra barrel and all paper work.---- Been sick last 6 months or so with the big "C" and saving my money for just this sort of recovery.Haha!

Sounds like one GREAT road trip. #2101xx is definitely a 1979 gun. The "model 15 fixed sight 4″, serial no. 3200xx with 15″ BA" is probably a 14-2, and if so it would be a 1981-82 gun.
Sounds like you are working through the big "C" pretty well, and good luck on the .357 SM.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thank you Steve for info on 14-2, the gentleman I received it from said he took it to oil rig in west Texas and shot jack rabbits with it off the drilling platform in the early morning hours between connections, the driller told him unless he was willing to let everyone shoot it to leave it home, nobody would chip in for ammo so did just that. What a great OL'Guy. The envelope that holds the extra front sights, 3 of them are normal and one is plain blue and wider than any of the others, why is that? Still learning. I forgot to mention I paid a little over $2500.00 for all of the above. I did good???

The oddball sight is probably original to one of the long barrels.
$2500 is not really good, it's Great!

I really have gone nuts for long barrels. The older I get, the more I appreciate that long sight radius.
Great buy. And with the attitude you're showing, those awesome sixguns came to you through karma. You have paid your dues and are still smiling, you deserve the break.
thanks for sharing your story,

Prescut a gentleman and a scholar.Yes and the holsters to go with them. "Been at least 20 years since I had anything that would hang past my knees or I could sling over my shoulder", my son laughed really hard at that one, took me a few seconds to realize why. I was referring to my old TC days.
