Thanks Greg and likewise. I'm seriously envious of the grips on your gun. Are they DWs or LB customs?
I had planned on heading to Alabama for deer this fall (family has some property there). I'm letting my son take my 30-30 but haven't decided what to take for me. I've spent years working up loads for my Blackhawk in 45 Colt and had planned on taking that or my '92 in 45 colt, but now that I found my DW I 'm torn. I don't know if I have time to work up a good load. I don't really know where to start, so I may have to rely on the collective wisdom of DWF. I'll probably start with a search on here. I'll let you know if I find something or stumble across a good recipe.

Hey Joel,
Thanks for the compliment on the grips, but it's LB that deserves all the credit. Those grips are the LB Special in Zebra wood. LB does very nice work and the these grips are really comfortable for me. i have a set for my .44 as well. The link to his website is to the right.
We can compare load data notes at a later date. I have never taken a deer with a .357 or attempted to yet. I think shot placement would be critical and would limit myself to nothing greater than a 50 yard shot.
If anyone else on the forum could share their experience hunting with a .357, that would be great.

The Warne 7.3 rings only fit 7.3 rails.
Check this page for some good pics of mounting options:
