Here you go........
Hold your judgement on Taurus for now - this is a really neat gun shipping Q3. It's a DA .22 mag. / .22LR combo. with interchangeable crane/cylinder assy. A button on the side of the receiver releases the crane and cylinder assembly to swap out.
This one was drawing a lot of attention. It's a Browning .22lr on a scaled down 1911 frame complete with grip safety. I'ts about the size of the Colt .380 gov't. frame with a 3 1/2 bbl. Expected to ship Q2.

And the $82k engraved colt....
A nice matched set of Perazzi's
if you have a cool $379k laying around..............
That's all for today folks!!!!!!! If there are any requests shoot me a message and I'll see if I can check it out for you.

Well, I see what they meant by "new shroud design" on the 715...the vents along the top are definitely different, plus the underlug seems lower. Maybe it's just an optical illusion. The front sight is different, too.
The frame seems bulkier & looks as though it was CNC cut from a chunk of billet. It looks more meaty than the usual 715, kinda cool. Any more pics?
The Taurus & mini 1911 are pretty cool, in their own right. And those Perazzi's for $375K? No problem, I can handle that.
Major thanks to you Harly, for giving us our first look at a real 2011 715!!

Man that Dw looks good. The cylinder looks awesome, with perfect flutes. Looks to be a very nice .. what to do what to do... I could not tell on the angle with the shroud it is very different. Guess I will just keep starting at it.
PS; I had someone ask where he could sign up for the petition we ran last year to bring back the DW revo from my little video I did last year.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

OK - I'll check out the items mentioned and get more pics. tomorrow (I didn't want to go shutter crazy since cameras are forbidden). I was only able to get though 1/2 the show today. THe front sight on the 715 is different - it's serrated. The shroud definitely does have a different profile along the vent rib - it looks good and follows the lines of the frame. I'll get some more pics of different angles tomorrow. SMF - I did check out FA and they didn't really have anything new coming along for 2011. I saw the Taurus - the Raging Judge. I'll get a pic. S&W has a new version of the Judge - The Governor. It's nice. Colt is late putting out their 1911 .22's (Umarex) - they should be shipping next month. They are also bringing back the .380 pocketlite - they should ship mid-year.
More to follow.
Harly,
Thanks for the update along with the pictures. It's nice to finially see one of the DW's in the wild. Now I'm not a Taurus fan however the little 22 sounds pretty cool. I wish they wouldn't go crazy with markings on the gun!
Looking forward to a report from Day Two! Enjoy!

Just got home from the shot show. This show is really huge, really huge.
Harly did great getting thru 1/2 the show in one day. I two saw the new 715,
held it in my hand and tried it out. NOT impressed at all.
It felt lighter than my 715 (although i hv an 8" bbl and the new 715 had a 6"bbl.) This is imo not worth the price talked about ($1164).
Again IMO, the current 357/38sp on the market today will go up in value IMO
Also met the CEO of CZ, Alice who was very pleaseant and helpful.
She is helping me with something I had an issue with ,with CZ
All in all, from the exhibitors that I saw, CZ was the #2 busiest, Glock by far the
#1

Cool stuff. I think the laser engraving may actually look more refined than in past. The slotted top vent is different too. Then there's the Taurus. I am apparently the only odd one that thinks a 28 gauge revolver is a cool toy as I was sort of quickly told how stupid it is over on another forum . Oh well its just an opinion anyway..

Thanks for the Harly, these are much better. I like the new shroud design, it's as though the 715 has evolved into the 21st century, so to speak. The lines all fit nicely together & the more I look at it, the more I like it!
The front sight is interesting too, with the groove cut down the center.
Harly, thanks for the inside scoop! So what is your perception of the fit and finish, etc on the DW? The new shroud design is interesting... I like how it flows on the top with the frame but it will take some getting use to. I like the fact that they've changed it up a little but stayed true to the overall design.
I think the front sight is pretty cool looking as well.
So have you found anything else that you think is worth telling us about?
Thanks again!

Ya know what? As I was doing the hellish commute on the way home this evening, I happened to come up on a new Challenger R/T...and as I was admiring the sexy lines of that car, it dawned on me that this new DW's shroud design is sort of a retro version of a new revolver. Does that make any sense?
They basically took the old revolver & smoothed out the rough edges.
