Hey tell is how that firesight is working for you. We've been trying to get some info. on these sights and how they work on the DW's. Thx.
I picked up the firesight over the weekend and haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet. I will report back once I get some range time with it. I will say that the front roll pin hole protrudes out the bottom of the sight more than the stock one does. That keeps it from seating like the stock one. I'll see if I can get on target with how it sits.

Very nice, a tough looking Dan! I really like the looks of that Firesight too, for sure get us a range report when you have time. If it works out you might start a trend for replacement rear sights here.

I can see where the tang of the sight sits slightly above the frame - that should be ok. I'm wondering though will the back of the sight adjust down further? It looks like there should be some more adjustment to it to bring the back end down further. If it does pls. shoot us another pic. with it fully bottomed out. Keep an eye on the adjustment screw also to make sure it doesn't go below the top strap and hit the cylinder.

I did try to save us some money today. I called Williams direct to see if the rear sight was available for individual purchase, and if there were any bulk discounts. I know there will be interest in this site from forum members and other DW fans. Unfortunately I would have to be one of their dealers and have an FFL before they would offer me any discounts. It's obvious that the Williams price is high at $62.99 because you can go to Midway and order the set for $46. That being said, Williams will sell you just the rear sight for $45 if you want to call them and place the order.
Now for the range report.
I headed to my local indoor range because it's close and I was pressed for time. I was shooting Winchester white box 38 specials, 130 grain, at 15 yards. To be quick, I will be putting one of these sights on each of my Dans! Sighting was absolutely fantastic. I switched out the 10" barrel for the 8" to see if my point of aim stayed the same and was quickly dissapointed to not have the EWK fiber optic front sight to go along with the Williams rear sight. Here are my shots at 15 yards.
I would say go out and get one of these rear sights immediately. It greatly improved my shooting and enjoyment at the range. Can't wait for another set to come in so I can put them on my 22.

Hey SMKYTXN, is that an EWK barrel? If so, what did it come with originally?
That thing looks AWESOME!!!
Thanks
Thanks. It is a factory 10" barrel. I also have an 8" and 6" for it. It was a little beat up when I bought it, but it's better now.
What did you clean it up with????

Excellent, thanks for the range report and info. on the Fire Sight. We've been trying to verify how these are working on DW's for a while now....you've given us sufficient info. now to be confident in their performance. Can you also verify the specific model no. of the sight so that we order the correct one? This is the Ruger Redhawk sight, correct?

Glad I could be the guinea pig. The specific model number from Williams is #70958 and fits the Ruger GP100, Redhawk, Super Redhawk and Super Blk Hunter. The midway link above should take you right to it. The rear sight alone from Williams is a call in only order. There is not a specific part number for it.
