I know I'm loving my 741! I got plans for that bad boy!
If it's as advertised, i think you made a good buy.
I'm not seeing pictures. Of course it could be my piece of crap

The pictures should be there. You might want to upgrade that piece of crap.
I ordered a Hogue roselaminate for the 741 today. It will be here tomorrow, gotta love Amazon Prime. I'll post a few more pics when the grips come in. Now I'm off to find some ammo. I did pick up a box of hollow points at my local Academy just so I could shoot it this weekend, but at $2 a round I wasn't going to stock up. Anyone have leads on some target rounds?

I think you're going to really enjoy that site setup. The hydrographics are certainly something I haven't seen on a Dan before, nice.
As to finding something that works for the large frame the hunt still goes on. The hole for the elevation adjustment is in the wrong place for the williams sight to work.

Ok, here's another from my collection. This is a nice little 22 that I picked up from a local gun show. I have two six inch barrels, one vented and one vented heavy. The heavy barrel was re-blued by blue ridge bluing. They did an excellent job on it. I picked up the Hogue grip today at the NRA national convention in Houston. I even got to meet Mr. Hogue.

Something Hogue does that is very cool, you can do a lot of mixing and matching with wood, grip style, and those very good looking insets at the bottom of the grip.
You just need to be able to wait for it.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I took a few of my Dan's to my folks place this weekend. My little sister, 25, wants to get into shooting. She's shot several of my semi's, but hadn't shot a revolver before today. I took a little video of her so she could share with friends. No pictures of the targets in the video, but she did pretty well considering the guns are as big as she is.

Nice job. Good to see that she wasn't "scared" of the pistol. Put a smaller grip on that 741 and she'll be all over it.
Tell her we expect to see her on the forum real soon with her very own Dan!

I had to take apart the 741 Sunday. Saturday was the first time firing it and I quickly realized that it had an issue. With a full six rounds in the cylinder the bolt would not engage the slots in the cylinder. I unloaded the gun and tested the bolt. It was very sticky, in that once pressed it would slowly raise up into position. I was able to fire the gun, but only with two rounds in the cylinder.
Using the excellent goby on this forum I was able to disassemble my first large frame. Everything was extremely clean inside. I took some steel wool wrapped around a flat blade screwdriver and cleaned up the bolt slot. I then did a little light stone work on all of the mating surfaces. Getting the large frame back together is definitely trickier than the small frame, but with the help of the "string trick" I got it back together. I'm happy to report that the bolt now moves up and down as it should and the cylinder locks up properly with a full six rounds in it.
It feels good to not be scared of taking this thing apart. Thanks for the help DWF.
