I had several different grips to choose from to accompany the 2.5" EH barrel from Erik. I originally wanted to use the small round butt grip but the medallions stick out and cut into my hand. I'll have to figure out how to remedy that issue. I settled on another small frame carry grip. Let me know what you think.

Well, I'm still experimenting with the softlight box so the pictures aren't as good as I had hoped but I'll share them anyway. It also appears I have some dust somewhere in the lense.
Here is Eric's new RH 15" shroud.
The quality of the barrel assembly from Eric is outstanding. I can't wait to pull this thing out at the 100yd rilfe range. Now to find a pistol rug that will fit it. Think I'll need Eric's muzzle brake on this one?

OMG. that is beautiful. My wife told me to just go ahead and buy it. ( I don't own a SS DW)HA!
I'm really interested in an 8"RH for deer.
Thanks
If you've received the blessing go ahead and pull the trigger! You can always find the gun to go with the barrel later. Eric has more inventory that will be added in the near future so keep watching his site.

Well, I've finally gotten home and gone through the case. Here's what was included in the pac.
- Dan Wesson 744, Serial # 001228
- 8" Power Control barrel and shroud
- 6" Power Control barrel and shroud
- Power Control 44 magnum flyer
- Dan Wesson Power Control cleaning brush (Still had the blue paper tag on it)
- Additional front site blades (red and white)
- Pistol pac flyer
- Blue warranty card (blank)
- 44 magnum instruction booklet
- Dealer Price list, dated Jan. 1st, 1981
- Congratulations form letter listing different dealers for accessories, dated April 1st, 1981
- Another price list, also includes DW holsters and ammo
There's quite a bit of history with this pac, and as far as I can tell it's complete. Well, not exactly complete. The label on the outside of the case is missing and there aren't any keys. All in all I'm happy with the purchase.
The power control pamphlet indicates that lead nosed rounds should be avoided as the barrel ports will foul easily. It did take some effort to get the barrels clean as the previous owner hadn't realized they were ported. I did want to fire the gun today, but I only had lead nosed rounds, so I made due with what I had laying around.
I didn't manage any before shots before it got dirty, but I'll get some better shots of it later. If anyone wants to see any of the above documents let me know.

A good read about history here.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
