Is a model 15/15-2 5 digit sn (1970's) gun minus grip and barrel/shroud in decent condition cosmetically and in good working order worth $250? I've got an extra grip. The cylinder and assembly looks to be in good shape. I see cylinders/yoke assemblies going for as much as $250. Best case I find a cosmetically challenged barrel /shroud cheap and have a second gun, worst case keep it for parts for my other 15-2. My 15-2 has a hairline crack in the side plate originating at the hole for the cylinder lock so I may be able to swap it out if I ever need to.

I would say yes based on having previously sold just a 15 frame (no cylinder) with a cracked plate on GB for $100 Asking prices for the cylinder only on Ebay are $200+. So if you find a decent condition frame assembly for under $300 you are probably doing ok. The challenge for pricing a frame is the potential FFL fees.
I have a frame for sale on GB right now. Starting bid is $269.
