Well folks, this is my recent acquisition I've been bragging about. Above are the Lt and Rt profile as the I got it with the 4 inch contoured barrel. My first pictures of the Dan Wesson many years ago was a Pistol Pack with heavy barrels...yup, something had to change.
The people at CZ were very helpful, talking with Keith to answer some technical questions gave me the confidence to order a couple barrels and a toolkit...I bought the 4in VH as well. The following shots show the 15 with the 6in VH.
The revolver takes on a whole new persona with this barrel on it. I think it'll stay a 6 Inch for a time when I can get a grip that is more for me. Keith suggested the Hogue they offer, I agree as the stock grip (although attractive) is way more than a hand full that makes it hard...for me...to keep consistent control during sighting. There is still a lot of hints and tricks I have to pick up on this fine handgun, but I have to shoot and find them. I'll have a lot of fun ahead of me.
One thing that is a toss up is the original stamping on the barrel. I know the old has DWA that the newer pistols couldn't put on...as the medallion on the grip, but the etching vs. stamping certainly separates the old from the new...I guess as far as looks I have to go with the etching...changing of the times and methods you have to be flexible.
I've had work done on other projects by a company that does all their cutting and etching. They do work for the MIlwaukee P.D. as well as others. I talked with the owner and he'd love to work out a good pattern on one of my other pistols, maybe bring him the shroud and let his CAD guy come up with something. Just a thought.
Anyway, thanks for all of you that sent comments and I'll try to keep up with comments and maybe post some pics on "other guns".
Best regards all...

It sure does, doesn't it? It's interesting how much the look & feel changes with a barrel swap...especially when you go from an 8" to 2.5", like I did recently with my 15-2.
Thanks for sharing the
