i had a successful javelina hunt this year in my home state. Took this nice javelina boar on day 2 with my Dan Wesson 44 mag. First hunt on this gun since I converted it from a silhouette gun to a hunting gun. Made a 47 yd shot, one round, using a Barnes 225 gr solid copper hp. Punched right through him and dropped where he stood.

Great job! My first Collard Peccary kill was with a Kimber 1911. Stunk to high heaven....

Thanks for all the load info included with your picture. It gives me a starting point when working up a hunting load for my gun. Nice looking gun also.

I hunted 18b, it's east of Wikieup. And for 10Magnums, it was a factory Barnes load. I have so many great hand loads for this gun, but I haven't found that any of them group any better than that Barnes out of the box. DW's have impressive accuracy anyway.

I haven't been that since I drove to Vegas a number of years ago great food at the little cafe there.
