I took this 11 point whitetail last November during the Kentucky firearms season using my model 15 Dan Wesson chambered in 357 magnum. I was shooting a 158 grain Hornady JFP pushed by W296 for 1330 fps. The buck was traveling right-to-left at 40 yards when I hit him in the left shoulder. He turned and ran and I added an off-hand, follow up shot that clipped his spine and put him down for good.
I recovered the first bullet in his off-side shoulder. It retained 140 grains.

Great buck and with a revolver even better. I certainly look forward to doing the same here in PA one of these years..
