12# test monofilament w/ a 30# mono leader, medium rod and Diawa spin cast reel; AKA my bass rig. I was using straight line,previously, but I kept breaking off. Four of us landed ~500# of Reds in 3.5 hours. The smallest was 18# and the average was 24#.
It was indeed a good day.
