On Monday Oct. 3rd I went along the Swatara creek in Hershey, PA for a whitetail bow hunt and say several deer out of range including a nice 8 point buck harassing some doe. (Sure seems early for that, but I saw what I saw)

Then around 6 PM at 100 yards I see movement and I realize, COYOTE IN THE PRIDE LANDS!!! so this YOTE is sniffing and hunting in MY hunting spot and I am sure the owner of the property did  NOT give anyone but me permission to hunt on this land, now normally I would just call the police and have the trespassing hunter cited.  But this was a different kind of "hunter", a fawn killing out of season poaching, four legged venison thief!

She was demonstrating no respect for the fact that I was in this hunting spot first. I let her lope my way and at 40 yards when she appeared to be heading to the high corn I started squeaking at her and she came in on a string.  Directly under my ladder stand, she did not see me or wind me and as she sundered away I loosed an arrow that split her spine and ended her ability to pollute my happy hunting grounds.  This is my second yote with a bow my first was in 2010 about 200 yards from where I planted this one.

Nice calling and shooting! I have yet to see a coyote in the woods but have gotten them several times on the trail camera.

They are certainly around did you see the winning Trail Camera Pic for Kinsey's Trail cam contest?  I have gotten 3 yotes in Hershey and 2 in Middletown.  One was trapped with cable restraint.  The other 4 were hunted.

It is amazing how they have migrated around the country…I saw one in west Miami at the edge of the glades a feds years back.

A few years ago there was at least one coyote living in a wooded ravine a couple hundred yards down at the dead end of our side street. To this day, when I take the dog for her late evening walk, I take along one of my "friends".

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Nice job keeping the coyotes cleaned out.  I have a trapper that is helping keep unwanted critter off our farm this year too.
