An incredible day in the PA Deer woods on Saturday Dec. 5th. Had deer action from sun up until 10 AM when I connected on this 8 point Whitetail. He was chasing doe all morning and I had him at 60-100 yards several times but could not get him to stop. Then finally he started to feed at 200 yards. I settled in and connected with my Howa 1500 in .270 Win. Using Remington 130 grain Core Lokt bullets. Hit him where the neck meets the shoulder and he dropped immediately. First rifle kill all others have been with the bow or muzzleloader. Got a year to practice with the 10" 44 Mag or the 10" .357 Super Mag.

humane, while his education has been sadly neglected.”

“When some of my friends have asked me anxiously about their boys, whether
they should let them hunt, I have answered, yes – remembering that it was
one of the best parts of my education – *make* them hunters.”
