Same as most every day, sun came up, sun (probably) going to go down. Might see the moon, if I look for it, snow is unlikely, rain might or might not happen. Expecting to see the sun come up tomorrow, if that does not happen, I'll let you all know, weather permittingbig-grin

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

In my personal experience, all are applicable. Dry and Arid usually result when she finds out about Hot and Hotter.....

I've heard Houston might be getting some rain this week.big-grin

Poor buggers. I hope any and all members & relatives affected by that whole mess will be safe. I can't even imagine being flooded that bad.

Yep, no immediate end in sight for our neighbors slightly to the south. In fact this was spotted on Hwy 290.....

Talk about traffic hazards!!!  Stay high and dry Bruce. As well as all others in Harvey's path.

Prayers for all.

All hurricane victims in Texas are in our prayers!  J.J. Watt has raised donations of more than a million dollars so far to help out the victims and still working on more, it will be needed.

A hurricane is a very scary thing. We survived Gloria not long after moving to Connecticut. Hurricane Gloria was a remarkable (and life changing) experience for the three of us.

Remarkable because of the wind, rain, broken trees, power outages, but in contrast to some others not really a disaster.

Life changing because an "unspecified" number of months later our son was born.

What can I say, Cable TV was downwink

Living in Florida and having experienced several hurricanes my heart is heavy for the poor folks in Texas and LA. Their lives will be affected forever. Even if they did not experience devastation PTSD will haunt them for a long time. The silver lining to that dark storm is that the hundreds of billions of dollars that will be pumped into recovery from Federal, state, local, insurance and private sources will be an incredible economic stimulus.

This is an outrage! There was absolutely no beer involved. In the interest of complete disclosure however, there may have been some  tequila, vodka, and bourbon on the premises. As I recall, we ran out of ice pretty quickly embarassed
