Every now and again, I offer up a quote the title of an old Grateful Dead song
” What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been”
Reading through posts I came across this- So what is this about? You Deadicated??? Your quote is from the GD song Truckin
I am confident I could play this game with you, if that is what you are doing. I promise I would not use the internet. Justy my memories or .....lack their of
I'll throw one your way. Name the song or simply finish the lyric. Hint: the Dead played this song live more times than ANY other.
"I love those cowboys, I love their gold, I love .............. God rest his soul, he taught me good Lord, he taught me all I know, so I......
You can not use the internet...We are on the honors system here.

they should let them hunt, I have answered, yes – remembering that it was
one of the best parts of my education – *make* them hunters.”

I am absolutely NOT a Dead Head, but "What a Long Strange Trip it's Been" seems to describe how strangely life seems to twist and turn as we live it. Beyond day to day changes and adaptations, I could never have predicted my life being what it is today.
Some disappointments and goals not achieved, blessings and gratification beyond belief.
Edit to add: that "Long Strange Trip..." reference normally goes back to the days when Dan Wesson Forum went 2-3 days with no new posts. Things seem to have changed a bit since those days.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve I hope you did not take offense to my query about the nifty song lyric. It has been a Long Strange trip for me as well. Jerry and the Boys certainly played their part.

Well I can certainly appreciate this sentiment. Amen to the Blessings and gratification. So your no Dead Head but you do sound Grateful.
If you like Country AND Western may I suggest a listen to the Grateful Dead's Working Mans' Dead. Jerry could also play a sweet as maple syrup pedal steel guitar and Bobby sure did love County Music of Merle Haggard and Marty Robbins to name two.
Here is a nice Dead Lyric for you, "Goddamn, well I declare Have you seen the like? Their walls are built of cannonballs,
their motto is Don't Tread on Me!"
