And what kind of engines? Mercury outboard, or other?
2004 Fountain 35 Executioner (35-foot) with twin Mercury 496HO engines (425 hp each). Runs 75+ mph WOT. Cruises 56 mph.
Sorry to the OP for being off-topic for this thread!

I was born in Miami. Parents divorced but I spent a month each summer with my Dad in Miami. I guess it was early 1960s and he bought a Formula. 19 ft and inches, it was the first Deep Vee hull by Don Aronow, spelling? Then when I was 13, 1963, he had the first Donzi. 14ft 2inches with a Boss 302 inboard /outboard. When I was 14 he asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said a Donzi. I lived on the inland waterway in the Jersey Shore. I didn't get anything for my birthday that year. The next year, 15 years old, he asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said a Donzi. I didn't get anything that year. The next year, 16 years old, he asked what I wanted for my birthday. I said"anything Dad". I got a check for $200. It was a lot of money back then. That was the end of my deep vee desires.

Ole Dog, you have no idea how much I have come to respect and admire your wisdom and experience as I’ve gotten to know you over the years thru this forum and our personal texts! I always enjoy hearing about your history and experience. I wish you could have had that Donzi!! A Donzi is on my bucket list for sure! Along with others like Outer Limits, Cigarette, Formula, Apache, Sunsation, etc.!!!

Nice Kurt! I'm running a 32 Sea Ray with twin roller cam small blocks. She's quick, BUT nothing compared to your ride!
I bet your fuel costs are way better than mine though!! Small blocks are way more fuel efficient, but man…the sound of twin big block chevys is so incredible!!! Our next boat is likely a 42-foot Fountain with twin 525 EFIs!!! Probably 100 mph or at least knocking on the door! I need my head checked to even think about that plan!!

I'm an X-100 ton/ masters /near coastal captain that has downsized from my pilothouses to a center console now that I'm 73. I put my 2320 Parker CC w/200 I4 Yamaha in the water 2 weeks ago but hauled her out because of lower unit problem. I keep the boat slipped in Long Island Sound and should be fishing for Fluke(SUMMER FLOUNDER) today but keeping busy with spring cleanup in the yard instead. Waiting to hear from the boatyard. You know, BOAT stands for Break Out Another Thousand.
